Angels blossom with sexual fluidity.

Life alone isn’t easy, with two its complicated. These words of wisdompretty much sums up “The Angels of Sex”. A very well fleshed outcharacter study about several complicated relationship between threepeople who refuse for conform to society’s expectations, yet theythemselves struggle to surpass their own limitations of how love andsex should be handled without prejudice. The film unspools the livesand loves of Rai (Álvaro Cervantes), Carla (Astrid Bergès-Frisbey) &Bruno (Llorenç González) three hipsters who are dealing with thecurrent realities of modern Spain, both in personal & professionalrelations. All three characters suffer distinct challenges andpleasures of life as their personalities are interwoven in meticulouslyyet naturally planned situations which tests their patience for whatthey are willing to tolerate from one another. As angels may be, do wereally know what sex they are? In this film, boundaries established bypreconceived notions are of least importance as the heart wants whatthe heart needs. Filmmaker Xavier Villaverde flawlessly handles thecharacter’s in several surreal situations giving them enough materialto allow for the realities of some very complex situations that arecompounded by mixed feelings with ever more confusing results. Thismovie is a must see for three good reasons, Rai, Bruno & Carla. As theyco-mingle and fuse their sentiments towards one another, One can’t helpwondering how long would a relationship of this sort really last, butas we see sexual desires and true love and pain surface, we realizethat these are only people looking for the same thing… to be loved asintensely as the heart and flesh may permit for one never knows what,when or how long the good times may last. A film highly recommended forits embrace and truthful storytelling depicting an alternativesituation beautifully performed with profound meaning anddedication. You are in for a treat as your eyes will feast on thisdeliciously, tasty & sweet love triangle. With the many temperaturerising scenes presenting sexual fluidity at its best, thankfully thisdish is best served hot courtesy of our main cast and their charismatic& overwhelming chemistry.

Great script and natural acting

However much I dislike the title of the movie and I believe that it keeps renters/buyers away, the movie is fabulous. All the technical aspects are perfect, the script writing and story line are superb and the actors are beatuiful and great actors and I forgot that I was watching a movie. It was rather like I was eavesdropping on intimate friends. It touched me very much. The fact that it concerns two men and a woman and sex is only part of the story, the other part is about love and friendship and intimacy and the movie handles this all with 5 stars.

Steamy Passion, Technical Excellence, and a Great Story (Spanish w/ English Subtitles)

I could have done without the breakdancing scene at the beginning, but all in all–from a technical standpoint, I find little to criticize here. The acting is excellent, and the story is well-paced and maintained my interest throughout. The three beautiful leads are involved in a bisexual love triangle with steamy sex scenes that are really too hot to miss. If you can relish the fantasy of a Latin version of Jake Gyllenhaal and Brad Pitt being in love with each other, that’s what you’re going to see here, and in my humble opinion, both men in this film are even more attractive and sexier than their American prototypes.Never have I personally seen a three-way romance either in real life or in the movies where someone doesn’t wind up getting hurt, but in spite of all the initial conflicts among these three characters, the director and writer have done a superb job of bringing it all to a happy ending that is actually believable.I watched this film on Amazon Instant Video first and have decided I may purchase it.
